CSU Campus Profiles

The California State University system is made up of 23 university campuses, enrolls over 480,000 students and includes more than 52,000 faculty and staff. It is renowned for the quality of its teaching and for the excellence of its graduates. With over 100,000 graduates each year, the CSU drives California’s economy in information technology, life sciences, agriculture, business, education, international trade, public administration, entertainment and multimedia industries.

Each of the 23 CSU campuses has its own identity, with distinct student populations and programs. Yet all share the same mission: to provide high-quality, affordable higher education to meet the changing workforce needs of the people of California.

In its overall rankings, U.S. News included 20 CSU campuses in its list of the top regional universities in the West, two campuses (San Diego State and Fresno State) in its top national universities list and it ranked California State University Maritime Academy No. 2 in the nation among regional colleges in the West. See the full rankings on the U.S. News website.
